I set up this blog in the weeks leading up to the point where we left England to go on our American adventure.  I had good intentions that it would become the place where I would record our time here and become a memory place for our young son to go to in the future.  I wanted it to be a place where friends and family could come to see what we had been up to and a way for me to up-skill my online prowess and to keep my fingers working on a keyboard.

So far, I have written nothing…..the page is very blank and so now I am in a situation where I need to reflect, catch up and record some of what has been happening to us over the last eight months – make that nearer twelve!

I need to start doing, rather than thinking about it too much.  I need to be able to just write and worry about the other stuff later.  (Other stuff: am I a good enough writer to make it worthwhile? should it be generic or personal? my preferences about online footprints for our family and my child – who is reading it and should it be public or restricted to a specific group? – what else do I want to achieve by producing this?…..)

I think I might have just started……….
