Oodles of food

I feel like I have started the seasonal over indulgence of food good and proper this week.  Mom’s groups are always foodie events, but this morning the Mom’s Connect ladies really went to town!

I’ll add a couple of pictures tomorrow, but plates were loaded, coffee poured and a contented quiet commenced as we all tucked in!

It was a fun morning.  We exchanged gifts, played Christmas music, shared stories and played a game.

The felt snowmen were a success and a seasonal version of hangman kept everyone busy and in some cases a little stumped as they worked out the titles to Christmas carols / songs.  I did wonder if there would be a few that would be less familiar, as I am the only British member and we do occasionally have a lingo mix up.  For example, I have caused great hilarity recently by asking to borrow a guillotine.  It turns out American’s only use the term for the decapitation device, not for cutting paper or photographs, which was what I had intended!

Tomorrow is the last day of term. Teacher gifts are wrapped, cards enveloped and class treats ready.  The second performance of the kindergarten Christmas musical takes place in the morning and we are looking forward to meeting up with friends to watch it together.
